My Connection is too slow

I've got PPoe DSL Broadband @64 kbps
Windows XP Pro

And my ISP is http://www.ddsl.net

TCP properties for IP = ************ ()
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)

TCP options string = 020405ac0103030201010402

MTU = 1492
MTU is optimized for PPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for optimal throughput.

MSS = 1452
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1452, which equals MSS.
MSS is optimized for PPPoE DSL broadband. If not, consider raising MTU to 1500 for maximum throughput.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 256960
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 64240
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
511104 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
255552 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
127776 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
63888 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10278.4 kbps (1284.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4111.36 kbps (513.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 49 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Please can you give me the best optimal speed

Thanx in advance

Welcome to Speedguide.net

As its 64k, you might want to try a lower Rwin.

What speeds are you getting now? Try and take a speedtest or take this speedtest...

Copy paste this in a Command prompt, START > ALL PROGRAMS, ACCESSORIES > COMMAND PROMPT. Close all browsers after you copy this, right click, copy, will download Netscape to your desktop.

ftp -A ftp.netscape.com
bin
hash
cd pub
cd communicator
cd english
cd 4.72
cd windows
cd windows95_or_nt
cd smartupdate
get communicator_32e_472.jar

Courtesy of Lobo hehe, thats what I call small print. :)

Hmm, try it again until it gives you a speed reading on the bottom. It looks like it didn't finish.

bjnoronha if your cap is 64 kb/s they that TcpReceiveWindow is WAY too high. Is that what your ISP says your cap is or is that what you download at on average.
