Well guyz, got all my stuff ready to mod my new case when it gets here! Went to the hardware store and got 2 cans of flat black spray paint for primer and since Roundeye had such great results with the fleck stone inside his SpdierMan case, i'd thought i'd paint my case simular. Went to walmarts and got 2 kits of the marble fleck stone paint. ;) Got my trusty dremel for the cutting of the fan holes, new fans with higher cfms , a few xtra grills and since my cdrom, burner and digi-nurse are black anyways, it's gonna look really nice.

I was thinking of adding a window with a piece of plexi-glass i have, but when i took a closer inspection, the dam thing has scratches :( Looks like the window will have to wait.

I'll keep ya's posted on the building of Marble-liciuos. WoW  i just made that up. Hmmm, not a bad name for my new rig. Kinda has a nice ring to it! :D

Just keep in mind that the fleckstone takes about two days to completely dry.

And if I was to do it again, I would use real glass instead of Lexan.

Well troopers, finally got my new case and hsf today! :D Dang fedex man got here at 2:45pm. I was hoping he'd get here earlier so i can do the mod and get the rig up and runnin by 2nite, oh well.

Well the case is pretty nice, i ordered the one w/out the psu.The AX7 is a dam giant thing! It's one helluva hsf tho. Did a complete inspection of the goods, and evrything checks out. Now for the modding.

Took the whole case apart and cut out the front port grill and the 2 rear ports for the fans, then sanded. Also drilled out the front panel holes and made them a bit larger for better air flow into the case. I then took all the panels, top, sides and front outside to the park and primed them with flat black. Waited about an hour and started the with the fleckstone. The grey frame that goes to the front i left black and just clear coated it. I gotta admit, it looks sweeeeeet! I waited about 2 hours for it to set but it's so hot outside it's taking forever to dry. The fleckstone stuff turns gooey in the heat so i brought the parts inside the house where it's cooler cuz of my ac's.

Guess this is my last post for a while since i'm gonna take my main apart and start building the new system.

I'll keep you guz posted on the end results. ;)

I did'nt use a dremel. I used tinsnips. I have it down to perfection. I only use a dremel in tight spots, but to cut the fan cages off the pc frame, i used my trusty tinsnips.
