double click

This is probably in the microsoft database somewhere but i could not find it.
Very often when i click on a link or type a site in the address box my computer will pause and then 20 seconds later come up. But i keep clicking the link/address and it will soon come up right away like it should on dsl.

This is not lag, it couldnt be....any ideas on what it could be

DNS has to find that site you just clicked the hyperlink for, has to resolve the IP, negotiate to the host, then there is the transport from that host to your browser.
