View Full Version : outlook express cant find hotmail accounts after switching lan card's pci slot
I switched my lan card from one pci slot to another and now when i go to send/recieve in outlook express, it says it "object not found". I deleted the accound and readded it to outlook, but it's still not finding it. grr.
is your internet working in the first place after you've switched the cards around? :)

Many of us have several systems, so his question about internet access working was not a crazy question.
Win98...double check your network properties.....make sure there are not 2x adapters listed...matter of fact...rebuild all of it from scratch, double check all your TCP/IP settings. In 98 when you simply move a NIC, the OS often sees it as adding a second one....you should properly remove the NIC in Device Manager first, then power down, relocate your NIC, let PnP add it again, double check networking components...reboot...then you're all set.
Run through Internet Connection Wizard one more time.
