Just buy some CAT 5e and install that.

I've done it in the last two houses that I've lived in. It makes a big difference. It won't make anything faster, it just gives your modem a cleaner line to deal with.

it was only (something like) 13 cents a foot. So, we paid 6.50 for the fifty feet we bought.
