Forgetful

Just joined the SG Folding team and obviously my CPU is now at 100% all the time. Are the temps below acceptable?

CPU is AthlonXP1800, Coolermaster CPU fan/heatsink, exhaust, intake and drive bay coolers fitted. I know AMD run hotter than Intel and i'm not looking for the lowest, just if they're ok.

Forumfiles is down.......... damn. Temps are 55 CPU and 37 Case.

Thanks for jumping aboard the Team!

Those are good. My CPU (XP2100) runs around 51 to 54 depending on time of day, and the chassis @ 45.

Check the temps? I'm using Asus Probe that came with my mobo..

You might check into Motherboard Monitor. (I think that's the name) If I remember right, it's free and works pretty good.

I'm using the utility that came with the Gigabyte board.

I should have quoted jumpinduo...

Forgetful, them themps are fine...I'd think of a different hsf if I started hitting 59 to 60c.

I'm up to 57 all the time when it gets hot in the room my puter is in.

Or if you start getting blue screens.

The mobos tend to give the temp a little hotter than they are.
You are within AMD's spec's anyway! ;)
