Its all depend on ur taste... but if u gonna install ez cd u have to get the new driver for the xp or else it gonna mess up ur comp (like i did at first) :) EZ CD have nice GUI and easy to use (in my opion) less option but hey its all depend ... both of them r good.. :)

It is personal peference but most people use Nero. There are too many horror stories with EZ.

I WOULD use Nero if it didn't insist on freezing 50% of the time I try to use it. The system will keep going fine but Nero hangs and refuses to shut down (even with application manager). Only way to proceed is to manually reboot my system and run through the whole scandisc procedure. It bites.

So I'm getting used to EZCD again:rolleyes:

Easy CD Creator is great for making data or music CDs quickly, but Nero is more a program for "advanced" burning and for control freaks; hence, I love Nero the bestest.

Nero is a culture shock to people who've become accustomed to Easy CD Creator...it's definitely more diversified in terms of what kind of CDs you can burn with it, but the Roxio route should be followed by people who want hassle-free burning.

EDIT: "Hassle-free burning"...all driver issues aside, of course! :D

I use a Dos app I got from a link on This Page (http://www.nu2.nu/bootcd/)

Now all my CD's are bootable, and autostart. Plus I haven't had one bad burn with it yet.

I hated Roxio CD Creator. It seemed nice & easy but my audio CD's weren't playing in regular CD players or when they did, they would play all the tracks as one big track even though when I used the disc in the PC all the tracks would show up. I tried different brand CD-R's and tried finalized/not finalized discs & downloaded all the fixes and they still would only play on the PC properly. Then I gave up on it after a few days fustration and several wasted CD-R's.. If a program needs to be screwed with, just to work correctly, I'd much rather choose the program that works properly at the default settings.

I switched BACK to Nero 5.5, that came with my burner and I've been happy since. Never a bad burn. Audio CD's play without any problems.
