I downloaded a file (no... not porn) and it has the ZA lock on it. I can open it... but everytime I do I get this warning from ZA. How do I remove that lock?
thanks guys (and gals) ;)
I haven't used ZA for a long time, but as far as I can tell from reading the manual you need to disable the "mailsafe" feature at the bottom of the security tab.
That will in effect allow all exe, bat and vbs scripts to run without warning you.

Not sure Doc, it's probably in the zonealarm directory, but with a different extention than what you downloaded. You could try renaming to the right extention.
Was it an exe file, a setup.exe or something?

What does the .zl9 file type do at your end? It was a .exe file. Let me rename it and see what happens.with the .exe (http://home.attbi.com/~maddoctor/att1.exe)
I think this will work.
hehe good one Doc, I'm not about to rename a file to .exe and execute it my system without getting a lot more info from you. Not that I couldn't regain my system from a backup, but that takes time I'd rather not spend.
What is it. ?
What is it supposed to do?
Was it an exe you tried to download?
I renamed it to a txt file and had a look at it in Wordpad. It's a win32 executable. Can't tell much about it since it's encrypted, but it has a few pictures in it, and it may be some sort of editing program. I saw a few references to brushes, and pixels. Just a guess.
You tell me.

Well... it can't hurt you. It was sent to me by a government office to my government office and all the security software between. It's squeeky clean. Most of the times I can't fart in my office without someone running a scan on me. This .exe went through just fine.
It's a sheep joke... with sound. Enjoy!
It's probably spyware lol
I don't trust those exe graphics thing, I don't care where they came from.
Thanks, but no thanks.
