webwasher problem perhaps?

Hi,

I'm not sure if I have a problem with webwasher :

first , I tried PC Flank test and I failed on the cookies part of it .

second , some websites don't seem to work properly. For instance on Ebay I can't log in ; I can't contact other members ...goes to blank screen ;Cant contact Ebay same thing ; clicking on grey box on some sites also doesnt work.

Now I dont know whether this is webwasher , zone alarm or my browser changes (tools/int options/security etc). I have tried removing these browser changes and switching webwasher off ( with privacy settings off as well plus proxy) . No change. Tried to find out solution on webwasher website.Tried to find solution on web.Contacted webwasher . All nothing.

Any thoughts on the cookie failure and the second problem ?

Go to Start> Find> Files.Folders and enter the word > Hosts

Open it and see if there are any entries in there.

You posted that you had a number of small apps running. Was one of those AdShield?
If it is running, you may need to clear the file and start afresh. AdShield WILL cause a blank screen if the URL is in the list.
