Personally I like it the way we have continued to operate the Folding team. Everyone rootin for everyone. With limited horsepower this team has got us down to and held us in the top 30 for a long time.
Many months ago when when the fragmentation really happened the Folding team was way up in the hundreds.. All the horse power seemed to go to Genome, fast big numbers, there was a rift between the two teams, raiding one team to boost the other seemed to be fair game.
Back when folding 1 was the main project other then SETI we had an awesome team. Wasn't a day went by that there was not someone posting to congrat another team member for reaching a milestone.
Ricrogue
Charlie
Bala
YardoStuff
GMC33
and so many others.
Charlie aka Jughead was wealth of information and diving force for Fold1 then Genome.
I myself was some what saddened when Genome came along, it split our team. We were a force to behold but we almost disappeared.
With Stanfords decision to almagamate the two projects I again saw a rift happening, but this time it was within the Genome camp, again I was saddened as I once again saw our team being shredded even further.
At this point I saw infighting and a drop in moral that I had seen when Folding1's stats were trashed for the new project, I felt the end was drawing near. But with the almalgamation comes new strength, we kept us in the game, with the added muscle lets go out and WIN the game.
And although I feel for the Genomers who's work and stats for the last year slide into the history books the way Fold1 did.
I welcome you all back to the Fold.
To all the Folders, new and old and returning.
YOU GUYS ROCK !!!
And wheres Quib???
Get your butt in here man.
