View Full Version : Scoring curiosity
My scores for the past couple of days have been less than expected so I was watching the screen when the last results were returned.
It showed that I was "anonymous, team 0" but the config file still showed the correct name and team.
Dunno what happened here so I deleted everything and reinstalled f@h3. Let's see if my scoring rate goes back up to what it was.
Pappa Tom, That is strange... I loaded the F@H3 client Wednesday and didn't have a bit of problem. It seems to be crediting me correctly. Our Team number is 15.
I hope that you have corrected the problem. :)
oh no poptom ! Hope you got it straightened out :)
It's acting really strange now. Look at this:

I'm going to scrap it again and start over. It was working very nicely for about a week, sending results first as poptom, then as anonymous.
Yesterday, I had a unit that transmitted after 34 frames. Then continued for the remaining 66 frames. It took a really long time to complete.
It tried to send again after 34 units but the comp was off-line. I stopped f@h after 37, connected, restarted f@h, and it sent queued results, then started again at 38.
Here is what I have now. I think I'll just let it play out but it's slow.

Man, it's slow. I hope it's for big points.

Yeah, they have some "ugly" WU's out there right now. I got a couple that are taking 25+ hours on the weaker machines.
Have you downloaded Electron Microscope? It will monitor your units and tell you "most" of the time the point value. You can get it HERE (http://home.attbi.com/~wxdude1/emsite/index.html). He also has a list of proteins and the values.
Just a heads up, there seems to be some question as to point value of that one. Folding has it's own forum it can be found HERE (http://home.attbi.com/~wxdude1/emsite/index.html)
Update.....heres another site (Stanford) that gives you point data
Here (http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html)
Thanks for the links, LukeMan. I'll check them out.
Well, I let it finish that one and it resulted in an error. It took 22 minutes per frame. I deleted everything and started again from scratch and it's OK now and has completed three WUs.
Everything is just hunky dory!
