I would not mind running one of those programs but I am on dial up. So does the computer need to stay connected? Would it be worth it?
I got a Palomino1800 :)and 512 of Ram:) and 44kbs connection(56k modem):(
Any way would like to help humanity:D At least most of it;)
You could run Genome using "NoNet" and just dump your results once a week or whenever...
Let me get you to the teams forums and those guys will help you out! ;)
Thanks for your interests!!!

I've a buddy, RYO that is running folding. He's running it on 3 computers. It will dial up and send the current results and download a new set. So you don't have to be connected all the time is your answer. :)
Well it would be better if you had a steady connection, but hey evry little bit counts!
Why don't you go to the Teams and clubs forum and check out all the info. There you can choose what program you wanna run. If you wanna know from me what program you should run, I'd go for Folding @ Home. :D but i'd rather let you decide, it's only fair
;) Whatever program you decide to run, it's still goin to humanity.

I read the console version is the fastest but what is the difference between console and graphical client and will that work for my dial up connection?
It doesn't matter what your connection is. 56K is fine. It dials when it's ready, sends in results, and gets a new assignment. Takes less than a minute.
Console is simple. No doodads. You won't even notice it running. Please join up! :)
