I have an 'evaluation' copy of Norton Ghost and cant figure out how to use it. There is a 'Ghost Boot Wizard' as well as a 'GhostExplorer' application, but neither of them seems to be what i need to initailly make my disk image. Am I missing some of the software??? Any help would be appreciated. I would RTFM but it didnt come with one.

The Ghost boot wizard makes a boot disk that has Ghostpe.exe (in Ghost dir) on it, and will boot right into ghost. From there you can run the program (in Dos)

If ghost doesn't autostart when you boot to the floppy, use Dos to navigate to the Ghost dir, and type

ghostpe
Hit [enter]

The file may be ghost.exe instead of ghostpe.exe

I'm not positive, but I believe you'll need to get the full version, and a serial number in order to restore any backup you made with the demo.
Just a headsup.

oh okay.
I seem to be havoing a problem. When in the boot shell, i can't get it to write to CD. It keeps saying that it can't write to the CR-R and that if it is a CD-RW, it will need to be completely erased. It's a brand new CD-R, and i've even tried several different ones.
Any ideas??

Sorry, can't help you with that one. Haven't tried it yet.

I have many HD's on my machine, and I copy the image file to one of them, and then to CD once I'm back in windows.

Maybe someone else can help.
