Can someone help me out with this...

I want to make it so that when someone logs into my network (which is on a 2k domain) that certain folders appear on the desktop, like shard folders, and all that good stuff...

where would i go to configure this?

You would go to your Server and configure it there. ;)

Create a profile on the AD Server. On the client machine you can choose to source your network profile vs your local profile

If the client is W2KPro, right click on my computer, select properties, then user profiles. You can use a network profile if one has already been created on the Server. Not sure how that works for other widows clients tho.

Do a search on 'roaming profiles' in the w2k help file

Create a domain user account
>AD Users & Computers, >users,>new user

Profiles stored (default)
C:\Documents and Settings\user_name
Under that user, see desktop.

Log on as your new user, place your share shortcuts on the desktop and log off. You should then find them in the profile folder.
