Hello everyone,
I have 2 PC'c both running Win98. I have a Linksys 4 port router which is working fine for the PC's sharing my cable modem. How do I now network the two PC's to be able to share files with each other.
Also what is this DHCP that the router has??
Thanks....

DHCP is the function that automatically assigns IP addresses on a network.
If you go into your NIC adapters on each machine and enable Netbios over TCP/IP, you should be able to do a simple peer to peer network no sweat. Just have to make sure both machines are set to use the same Workgroup.

It would be more secure to use NetBEUI than enable netbios over TCP-IP.

one other thing on goto the router's ip 192.168.1.xx click on advanced and make sure you have block wan request disabled if you have it disabled you could get pings and traceroutes, on the same page make sure mtu enabaled in the box next to it type in the mtu. If you are one cable it's 1500.
