HAs anyone had any luck with this router and a dual boot system win2k/winME?
I keep getting "network cable disconnected" errors intermitanly, sometimes I can connect to the web, most times not. Called tech support and they said the sr41 won't work with dual boot systems. They say a conflict is created within the system.
Does that make sense?

No, it doesn't make sense. As far as I know, the router is working with protocols, not the OS.
Are you running DHCP from it? You might try setting a static IP, the same IP for both OS's.

Hi snuf...
YEp, I have dhcp enabled on the router, and everything on the puter end is set to optain automatically. When I CAN connect to the web the conx will work for a few minutes. Then you'll get page not messages. Reboot won't fix it.
I have noticed in prop. , under winME and 2k I have tcp/ip installed but doesn't show it bound to the net card..
tcp/ip>dlink ..etc. I was thinking this was typical for ME but 2k is alittle different(I'm new to 2K and forsee a big learning curve!)
Can I disable pppoe in the router and use pppoe installed on the computer, to test for router co-operation?
Thanks,charly

of course it'll work
i have a triple boot system here... windows 98, 2000, and xp all work fine
the router automaticly assigns the same ip to each os because the MAC addess for your network card is the same.
make sure you're cables arent jacked up

Just my luck...got 2 bad routers in a row! Should play the lotto now. The first one wouldn't get a wan signal from the modem and the second one would connect to internet but would disconnect after a short while...minutes.
Moral of the story is Don't buy a linksys router.
Thats my story and I'm stickin to it.
