new guy network help

hello everyone, i'm new to these boards so i'd like to say hello to all and if you a moment or two i need help with a minor problem.

okay i have 4 computers two of them have Xp pro as an OS and the then one is 98se and the last is 2kpro i've got a dlink hub and have the modem hooked into the uplink part of the hub and my network cables leading out of the hub to there varous computers. ( i recently had sympatico highspeed Dsl ) and was using the RASPPPOE cleint dialer to accsess the net on all computers aswell as file sharing between them it all worked great.

But now since i've switched over to cable i can only get the 2 xp pro systems to accsess the internet and the 98se and 2k pro i'm having problems getting any internet and for all of them i can't seem to get the sharing working again

please help anyone with any ideas
i've banged my head for many nights onlt to stuble across this interesting sight

Unless you get an account for concurrent use...as in multiple IP's, you will need a router.

i guess it's really my only option except for ICS but it think your right it's better to go for the router.
