cable upload ?

with my cable company im only gettin about 150kb/s upload
is that crappy or what??? let me know
i find it hard to host 4 people in RS now that school is out on vacation hehe congested internet!!
only other option is to switch to dsl one of their offers is
up to 500kb/s upload but of course that isnt guaranteed just like any other

Depends on which ISP you have. Most consumer/home setups are 1500 down, 128 up.

well the thing is my cable isp has now set new standards

before i was getting over 300kbs plus now its limited to 150kbs
they told me its was to accomodate more people who are tryin to get online
they also told me that online gaming was not supported by them and I read the fine print i would know that bah
meaning i cant/or use my bandwith for and or for hosting online bah
man what is the high speed industry coming too!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am a gamer and need the bandwith!!!!that s what i pay for is bandwith!!! now dsl in my area offers more bandwith 500kbs so ima try them see how good i can host....

well im not going to pay a **** load of money for fast internet so my pages can open up faster thats a bunch of SH**t i rather have 56k for opening pages i dont care if i have to wait 10 seconds

so anyhow it makes me mad that they cant afford to put more lines out and still give you what they gave you in the begining
now they are charging me a load of money and they took my bandwith away more than half of it!!man, BS. pure BS.!!!!!!!

I'm a gamer also, and I gladly pay more money...but as gaming was important to me...online gaming that is...I shopped wisely, as what's important to me is "PING"...and low ping at that. So I shopped wisely for a really good quality ISP. It's twice the price of local cable, and twice the price of the local phone company's DSL....but when I ping from the high teens to the low 40's at worse.....I'm happy!

128 here sucks they go no higher 60 bucks for 128/1.5meg and been get only like 80 of the 128. Should be 1.5up and down sht

but i ping 40s so am happy just cant host many

and paying lol id proply pay more for faster speeds but only have dsl/cable here both being 128up

but i hear ya man its not are falts they wanna get 10,000 more costmers to slow the network down even more
