I don't see why not. Give them a try. You can always go back to your old settings if you don't like the W2K settings.

RWIN 256960

Communications

4.3 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet
Storage

525.2 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.
1MB file download

1.9 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.

Here's three speed tests, I'm using Lobo's Windows 2000 trick:

Your raw speed was 3191345.78 bits per second.
There are 3 meaningful ways we can interpret this number:
Communications

3.2 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet
Storage

389.6 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.
1MB file download

2.6 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.

Speed test # 2:

2002-06-23 19:14:25 EST: 2904 / 271
Your download speed : 2904153 bps, or 2904 kbps.
A 354.5 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 271002 bps, or 271 kbps.
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

Speed test #3:
2002-06-23 19:14:35 EST: 2720 / 267
Your download speed : 2720842 bps, or 2720 kbps.
A 332.1 KB/sec transfer rate.
Your upload speed : 267899 bps, or 267 kbps.
Seems like broadband .. above the 1mbit barrier!

I tried Denver's speed test but it's slow. I already wrote my previous cablenut settings. Lobo's tweaks works better:)
