recently my dsl is sucking big time...i have earthlink service which is PPPoE and my maximum download speed is at average 60 kb/s.
Here is my analyzed data: Please Help me with whatever Will make my connection run better
TCP options string = 0204058e0103030201010402
MTU = 1462
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.
MSS = 1422
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1422, which equals MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.
Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 255552
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 2 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 63888
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
523296 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 8)
261648 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 4)
130824 (MSS x 46 * scale factor of 2)
65412 (MSS x 46)
bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 10222.08 kbps (1277.76 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 4088.832 kbps (511.104 KBytes/s) @ 500ms
MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON
Time to live left = 52 hops
TTL value is ok.
Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF
Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON
IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

First you need to get your MTU correct to do so try this:
Start - run and type in regedit and go here in your registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\Net\000n
(Where "n" is a number like 0001, 0002, etc.) Look for the 000? folder, with the "iVasion PoET Adapter" in it. (To the left of which it will say, "DriverDesc".)
Look for the entry TunnelMode = 1
Double click on TunnelMode, and change the 1 to a 0.
Then download the TCPOptimizer and try the following:
Settings tab:
select - DSL PPPoE
check - custom settings
network adapter selection - your NIC
check modify all adapters
maxmtu - 1492
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 17424/23232/27588/36300/55176/92928
MTU Discovery - yes
Black Hole Detect - no
Selective Acks - yes
Max Dup ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options - uncheck both boxes*
(* if using TCP Receive Window of 65535 or higher check windows scaling)
Other Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 20
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 40
Lan Browsing Speedup - optimized
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect.
:) :D

i did what u told me to do but it had no eefect on my download speeds, i still download at an average of 40 - 50 KB/sec. This is really frustrating considering i should be able to get at least 100 and im paying 50 $ a month

Read "My Tips" in my sig and follow the suggestions and please post another TCP/IP Analyzer test.:)

It would appear as if your RWIN is just a little bit on the high side. Try a value of 34848. If that makes does not help, you can always change it back. Remember to reboot after you make any changes, so that the changes become active.

I'm still having no luck increasing my download speeds still only at about 40 KB/sec. Here are my current specs:

Try setting NIC to 10 Full Duplex:)
