LAG spikes playing CS...

Hey yall.

Well, I have spent the greater part of the past two days playing on Wombat's CS server. It is really a sweet game, however I have been experiencing some REALLY bad lag spikes during game play. Generally, when running around, it basically freezes the guy and the music repeats for a few seconds and then goes back to normal for another 5 seconds (if I hadn't gotten killed yet).

Anyone know of some fixes or something that would remedy this? Here are my stats: Windows ME, Nvidia TNT2 16MB VidCard, Road Runner Cable Internet, 512MB RAM.

Ideas? Useful comments?

TNT2 16MB could be your vid card looken up try turn music off and other setings off or to low setings

mabye some trace routes to the sever

see if it your isp or your vid card
