I am moving to the boonies!!! Noooo!

i currently have cable ang get a great connection al most 1m but by the end of the summer i am moving to colrain mass, in the middle of nowhere(i even will have a barn!!!) well ATT doesnt have service out there so it is satalite @ 650k that my dad says weare getting. i am a gamer and want to know what is better 128k dsl or 65ok sat? i am a gamer and ping iis a bigconcern and some of my friends said it wont work cause sat has major delay.


what do you guys think? i am in a rush to find out what is better!!!!!!1

I heard the best ping you can get with sattelite is 400ms.

susposedly sat sucks bigtime for gaming

i also heard the same thing about my connection but i still ping under 100ms on most servers

128 DSL will yield lower pings for gaming than satellite. Sat's average around 300 ms latency.

a freind of mine had satalite when you had to use a modem for uploading ANYTHING and it would replay what you wanted thru that and send it down thru the sat....o man that sucked...you would click on a link and nothing would happend for like 20 seconds then BOOM! page there..>

I dono i wouldnt get it man..
