I have been having problems with Zonealarm Pro lately. For some reason I can't access my netscape email account but I could if I turned it off but I don't want to since that's how I got my last virus. And another thing that is happening is weird things with IE 6.0. I don't know if it's IE because I never had these problems or I don't know if it's from ZA Pro. But what happens is that I some pages won't load, I would see random letters, numbers, and symbols on webpages that I visit. Like I would see, asldfjoxcv, next to a thread on SG. My last problem with IE is that if there was a picture from one web site and I go to some other site that same picture would be at the site I'm at but in either the background for the page or as a banner. The picture might be a little picture but it would be stretched when it becomes a banner. Can someone tell me if it is ZA Pro, if so how would I fix this but if it is IE then how would I fix it?

im pretty sure it's Zone Alarm, as I had the same crap happen to me. your using version 3 correct?

try getting the newest version, which is 3.0.118, this helped alot with previous performance issues over the older version 3.

then for me, I have to have Ad Blocking turned OFF, and Mobile Code Control Off, and everything works fine for me. If mobile code control is on, then my cookies and stuff is all messed up, and the Ad Blocking, then I get the messed up pictures and banner ads.

Problem, I am using 3.0.118. So should I turn off Ad blocking? I already had the Mobile Code turned off but I kept the Ad blocking on. And would the cookie control have any affect if so what should I change it to? I have it right now at medium. Thanks drdoug99

my cookie control is at meduium as well.

turn the ad blocking off, and everything should be normal.

But to test it out, I just turned on Ad blocking to high, and Mobile Code control on, and havent noticed anything unsual with my web pages yet..

correction.

the Mobile Code Control, messed up the Speedguide menu bar.

with it on, the Title Menu bar thing at the top of the screen failed to load. With it off, everything works like normal.

for some reason, the ads are appearing as well, even though the ad blocking is still enabled.

I turned the ad blocking off and setted the cookie control to medium and everything looks fine to me. But occasionally I will get random letters when I'm browsing the SG forums. I don't know why but yeah I still have it. And about the ad still appearing I suggest you get some kind of popup blocker like I did since the one in ZA Pro doesn't block every popup.
