Hi i have asked many people this question and still havent been able to get an answer. Maybe you guys can help
About 3-4 Weeks ago i got DSL from verizon and i networked my 3 computers succesfully. But since the router that i am using (2wire Home Portal 1000W) doesnt let me host multiplayer games such as Tom Clancy's Rogue Spear or Communication applications such as Roger Wilco or Battlecom, i cant host.
I've heard about this "DMZ" host thing and i dont know that that is. The router home page that i have is www.2wire.com. Im not sure how to open up any ports or anything to be able to host secondary applications. This has really been bugging me. I cant find anything on the web page about how to do this. The didnt even give me a manual, just to go to that page and look. On my user page it doesnt have anything about it either.
I hope you can help, and again its a 2wire Homeportal 1000W and the web page to browse about this router is www.2wire.com. I would GREATLY APPRECIATE if anyone could solve this problem i am having. Please HELP! Thank you for your time.
