i got the linky besfr41 router and wanted to know how to forward ports 6500 and 6700.
do i put 6500 in both places where it says service port range?

is it safe to keep those ports forwarded when im not using them(using them to play halo online)

You can forward the range if you want,
6500 - 6700

Or you can forward the individual ports themselves,
6500 - 6500
6700 - 6700

Either way, works. Technically someone who's REALLY paranoid would say "Why open up the range, if you don't need 6501 - 6699...therefore more ports are open for attack. But those are useless ports anyways.
