View Full Version : The Hoarde's sneaky trick
Ok guy's and gal's, the reason the hoarde is falling behind us is they are doing a -nonet. Which means that they will crunch for awhile and not get results. After a while they will harvest and there stats are going to go through the roof. In short, there not that far behind.

It figures, I knew it could'nt last...............
Should be interesting to see when the stats hit the fan ;)
Don't worry, the big impact is not until the summer. BTW JugHead, great crunchin' - Semper Fi!!!
Geez Roger how long are you going to let those systems -nonet before harvesting? I thought the numbers were only good for a week or two max?
Sorry Roger, I had to a little covert mission to see what was up with your team... Your numbers seemed to be falling from what they were before.
Gota love a little competion. You guys are a great bunch. Glad we can all stay friendly.
Don't know for sure, but it seemed that when my net went down and my machines were just crunching the same stuff over and over when I finally uploaded the stuff. I didn't get as many units/points as I usually did for crunching different genes. I don't know though.
I understand that you will get credit for the crunching but Stanford can't use the info.

rack of 24 dualies (to be quads) coming online at my home
Hi Roger, I wen to the AMD Tech tour last week, and one of the topics was about the new AMD Opteron; capable of 2, 4, and 8 procs, 13 micron, and should be out later on in the second half of this year. This looks like a great cpu for what you have in mind. It is supposed to run cooler than the current mp's. Also, if you don't mind waiting a little longer, the Opteron is supposed to be reduced to 9 microns in the second half of 2003. Other than this info, there wasn't too much info on multi-cpu rigs.
