I have win 2000 pro- If I run a search by going to the F3 Key- and type *.tmp it find like 4 Items - Is it ok to delete this Items and any Items it finds under the *.tmp Search

I do it and find no problems. I think the microsoft way is to go to Programs, Accessories, System Tools, Disk Cleanup, select the drive and go from there.

Since I do this often, I made desktop shortcuts for cleanup and defrag.
You can delete tmp files if you want, no harm will come to you :)
Just don't delete any just after installing a new program, make sure you reboot first, as some programs use a tmp/temp file on first boot after install.

Good point, Norm. Reboot your computer BEFORE you delete temp files.
