McAfee Updates Blowing Out Registries?

Has anyone else seen this? Especially w/ the corporate version, doing auto-update after hours. We're seeing alot of PCs that have McAfee. installed, one morning there's a reg error and boot error ... but if you start in safe mode, and uninstall McAfee, or reload Windows, it solves the problem. And a couple of times we've had to reload Windows even after uninstalling McAfee.
Just wondering if anyone else had run across this.

My personal advice to you is to uninstall McAfee VirusScan and then clean out the remnants of it from your computer. I have the steps for doing it on my website.

I agree wit h you completly CaptSpeleo ... I would much rather use NAV, but these folks have ALOT of pcs and alot of money tied up in McAfee already, and they don't want to change.

What version of mcafee are you having the problem with?

If I recall, version 5.13 was the last version I used before nuking it into oblivion.
