I've had TweakUI in files for sometime now. The feature I liked best was the ability to remove the small arrows that are added to shortcut icons on the desktop. Now all of a sudden this feature has quit working. Don't know why. I think it started after a blue screen or error message. I rebooted and after loading up my screen displayed the generic white screen with the active link to "restore active desktop". When I did this, all the shortcut icons had the little arrow back and I can't remove them anymore. Tried all Tweak's settings on the Explorer Tab (i.e.- light, none, custom, etc.) but the arrows remain.
Could Tweak's file have been corrupted? Do you think removing and reloading TweakUI would solve problem? Thanx

Do you have the new version? Anyway, I'd try a remove/reinstall. That should fix it.

There were a lot of complaints about this after the Microsoft security update(03/07/02) was installed. You can read about the Registry fix for this problem under the "Quick Tips" section of my website at: http://9337387.home.icq.com/index.html

Thnx Guys.......

Dakota - That wasn't it. I deleted all refs. to TweakUI, rebooted, and then reloaded it but they were still there. Turned out to be the fix re. Capt.S's post.

Capt.S - That did it. They're gone. Hate those d@mn arrows and they have all disappeared. Thanx much.
