I jsut installed Norton Antivirus 2002, and dropped AVG, after reading another thread.

Anyway install seem to go fine, I was originally going to install the whole suite, but decided against it for now.

My question is and I am running win98se, the little icon in the try that is for NAV, when I double-click on it, or right click and click on open norton antivirus, nothing ever happens. The enable/disable and configure NAV works, but cannot open it.

Any ideas? I updated it with Live Update and all patches.

Already tried rebooting.

Thanks

Tried all you said except install the whole suite. Acutally the first time I did install I did install the entire suite, but unistalled because I did not want the secruity now. I dont remeber if I was able to click on the icon when I had it.

It is not the end of the world I guess, since i can clcik start->programs->Norton antivirus and open it, was just curious why it did it.

Main thing as long as it protects my system, that is all I care about.

it will come up when you double click on the tray icon, it is , very slow to do so, that i have noticed with NAV 2002, try it again, wait on it and see, mine takes 3-4 seconds to appear some times.

This has happened to me when I used a registry cleaner program, could not open NAV by double clicking the icon. I
re-installed NAV and the icon works fine now. I'm more careful with the reg cleaner now...lol
