right here (http://www.mycgiserver.com/~kalish/)
Tried to go to the scan.
When I clicked the link a new page opened up and my AdShield blocked it and left me with a blank page.
Does the "Start Aplet" link open anything but a blank page?
Croc.
OK. All sorted.
AdShield has a "Block Page" option which was checked. Unchecking the option allowed the link to start the scan.
End result..... All attempts refused.
Thanks for the link. It's a more comprehensive scan than Gibson Research's Shields Up.
Crocedit.
Got all stealth but this one.
Attempting connection with your port 113.
TCP connection is refused.
How come it's a differant result? Usually get all stealth when I test.
Thanks
Hi Suzie.
I am in the same situation. There are only 5 out of the lot that came up at stealth, with the others showing connection refused. There could be a bit more effort put into the site to let people know what is going on and what the results mean.
Without knowing the site scan and with little info at the site I guess we will move on. At least all the connection attempts were refused.
Croc.
I'll stick with the port testing sites we all know and love, thanks. One's enough for me. These things make me nervous enough as they are, without trying a new one every week.

Hey exit1mile
Don't be sensitive.....
We all have favourites and we do express our opinion, however, we encourage contributors like yourself to keep us "on our toes", so to speak.
So re-consider and come back ...so don't take the attitude of "better that I stay to myself I think"....

I would suggest that you go here (http://www.sans.org/newlook/resources/IDFAQ/oddports.htm) to identify what each port is used for....113 is the IDENTD PORT. Some hardware routers turn this "off" by default, while others leve it "on"....software firewalls (those that I am familiar with-no flaming as I have not used ALL firewalls out there...jeez) give the option of turning that port "off"
Hope that helps, together with croc's input.
:)
Yeah Exit...It's cool. Not everyone's going to like everything. I just don't care to go port testing willy-nilly is all. Don't take it personal because it surely was not meant that way. We're always on the lookout for the best stuff, so don't let that keep you from posting links!
And I also had not seen that Ken mentioned that one too. ;)

Hey exit1mile I wasn't knocking the link, I just wondered how come I got the one result. :) I like checking out new scans, to be sure the one I usually use is up to snuff. ;)
Thanks fredra I checked that page out, it shows this:
port 113 Invisible Identd Deamon, Kazimas
I use Zonealarm pro for a firewall. Is this telling me I have a trojan??
*Edit* Did 2 other scans and they say I'm clean. Found this link, alot of info
Here (http://www.blackcode.com/sitemap/)
Thanks:)
Go ahead. Call me willy-nilly. ;) All stealth here. :2cool:
