Lobo, just send me an IM when you post these and the message will appear in my email box. That way I won't miss them.
There are only two sites that I know of that will report back to you retransmissions and RoundTripTime data: DSLR and that Web100 test site (http://whisper.cs.utk.edu:7123/) I sent you to before. There is another site for that Web100 tester here (http://firebird.ccs.ornl.gov:7123/).
The DSLR TweakTester uses a maximum file size of 146,000. The Web100 sites send well over 500,000 bytes -- but the report says the sever has a limited send buffer of only 128,000 bytes.
So I am not sure there is any place that will give you this type of data for large RWIN's. Again, DSLR keeps saying there is a larger file Advanced Tweak Tester "coming soon" -- but they have been saying that for many months.
If you just want to test SPEED and nothing else, I guess the best and most accurate way is to time the downloading of a large file. And do it several times. There are many other "speed test" sites out there -- and I think the DSLR test is as good as any...
I have often wondered if Philip has one of those planned for this site... (?)
