Hi Modem-Freak, it isnt a total silly question or anything but , you should have put this in the Tweak forum. Its ok though, what sort of OS do you have??

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\
System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Class\NetTrans\000n

This is for Win95,98, ME

and here for Win2K and XP

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services
\Tcpip\Parameters\Interfaces\<interface>

This info is available on from the Front page of Speedguide.net too. It would be a good idea for future questions if you could put some specs of you computer in your profile. :D

Here's the path:
Start\Run\ type in "regedit" (no quotes)\
+ HK_LOCAL_MACHINE/ + System/ + CurrentControlSet/ + Services / +VXD / MSTCP...left click once on the folder, a big window will appear on the right, right click on an empty space and "NEW" will appear......create a new string value and name it DefaultRcvWindow. Double click on it and give it a value data of 64240/ OK. Exit regedit and re-boot your computer.

Download and install Cablenut 4.08. It's so much easier that way.

(Note: If you're using AOL, the Cablenut tweaks won't work)

http://9337387.home.icq.com/index.html That's not true. I use AOL, and the Adjuster works fine for me. Just don't use AOL's browser.. use Internet Explorer ;)

Thanks for the advice. I was just relaying what I've read about Cablenut and AOL.

I've got a friend who has AOL for an ISP, but also recently started using GTE/Verizon and MIE 6.0. I'll give Cablenut a shot and see if it works.
