I get 2 very conflicting test results from different sites.. as shown below. My speeds are supposed to be 2048/256. Anyone have any ideas which site is considered more reliable as far as testing goes? Or how I can determine which one is accurate?

Test running..Downloaded 57344bytes in 671ms
Downloaded 307200bytes in 1152ms
First guess is 2133kbps
a FAST line - now test 3mb
Downloaded 3072000bytes in 20630ms
Upload got ok 1 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 1bytes in 170ms
Upload got ok 1 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 1bytes in 200ms
Upload got ok 1 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 1bytes in 170ms
Upload got ok 50000 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 50000bytes in 1312ms
Upload got ok 500000 bytes uploaded
Uploaded 500000bytes in 20961ms

** Speed 1191(down)/192(up) kbps **
(At least 23 times faster than a 56k modem)
Logged result.
Finish.

=========================================

Your raw speed was 1717906.41 bits per second.
There are 3 meaningful ways we can interpret this number:
Communications

1.7 megabits per second
How communication devices are rated. Kilo means 1,000 and mega means 1,000,000. Examples include 56k modem and 10Mbit Ethernet
Storage

209.7 kilobytes per second
The way data is measured on your hard drive and how FTP programs measure transfer speeds. Kilo is 1,024 and mega is 1,048,576.
1MB file download

4.9 seconds
The time it would take you to download a 1 megabyte file at this speed.

Snuf: They both can be right>All a test does is take a snap shot in time and your speed may be faster one min and slower the next. What you want to do is test at places close to you. If you live on the east cost use those test. Also the larger the file you test the more accurate the test will be.
So I would say the first test is the most accurate because it test with a 3mb file and the other used a smaller file to test.
