Hola:
We have a P2P WIN98 LAN, and suddenly one PC refuses to access that LAN. Sometimes you can see the others PCs, sometimes you can't. But when you can see other PC in the lan you can not access it. Receiving a message that says you can not reach that computer. TCP/IP is properly configurated. I've tried swapping the cabling but to no avail. The others PCs keep behaving, but this one is out on control.
Any idea?
Thanks

try uninstalling your network card drivers, and reinstalling it

like uninstall it, then reboot windows, and let it recognize the network card, then install the drivers, and then configure tcp/ip

Thanks, but I've already done that. I've even changed the NIC, and swapped slots in the moherboard...
Still the same

Have you tried..... remove the protocol,,, restart the machine,, add the protocol, restart the machine, then setup your nic ?

It also sounds like an IP conflict I have had before. If anyone know TCP/IP they now that there are certain IP addresses that work with certain subnets. Try swapping IP addresses with one of the other computers that work. And see if all of a sudden the computer that didn't work works and the computer that did work, doesn't. Sometimes windows picks up on these and sometimes it doesn't.
