i think i need a cable amp but not sure

I have split the line in the house one to tv and one to modem. I think i need an amp my upload speed got cutt in half. So do I or dont wanna double check.

you may want to check with your ISP on that and have them come over and test ur cable line before you install an amp on ur own. The amp will only clear and draw more signals to ur cable modem and it may not be necessary for you. So I recommend you check with ur ISP on that and have them check the line 1st.
