please help this is annoying!!!!

I have my network giong one pc is a dedicated server for a game the other i jion onto the server with...I was just running a dedicated server and I keep getting a periodical little sign that says local area network cable unplugged!!!! even though it isn't !!!!!what nis giong on here are my specs on network....both pcs connected to a belkin 4 port router(cable/dsl)...it has a built in switch....the nics are set at 10baset half duplex....what can I do to fix it

i am using tcp/ip protocol....should i use netbaui(sp?)?....one machine has win xp the other has win me??? thanks this is really annoying!!!!!!!!!!

PLease help it did it again my dedicated server bumped me off ...and the dedicated server got kicked off the router...my modem was still online though???
