Probz with G6 FTP and Linksys BEFSR41

I have a prob guyz, when people try to connect to my G6 ftp they cant get thru.
I opened ports 20/21 in the linksys Forwarding settings but there still seems to be a prob.
Can some one tell me in detail what settings i need to put into the router settings to get my G6 Ftp server going.

Any info would be great.

Are you configured for static addressing on the LAN side of the router? Are either the server or the clients firewalled? Are you in PASSIVE or ACTIVE mode ftp? Who is your ISP? Some ISPs - especially cable - block well-known ports to prevet users from running servers...
