Microsoft Backup

I have an Onstream D1-30 tape drive installed on a windows 2000 server. The drive is installed correctly and is being recognised in computer management and remote storage but when i go to use microsoft backup it does not give me the tape drive as an option. ??????

The DI30 will show up in backup as a MiniQIC device. What devices does yours show? Is the device showing up under device manager as a Tape Drive?
