d-link switch

hey!

do i need d-link nic cads in my computers to use a d-link swithc???
also is it possible to connect the cabmle modem to the switch and sharing internet connections through it to other computers that connect to the switch???

No, use whatever NIC's you want.

No. You will need to purchase another IP from your ISP if you intend to use that switch or a hub. The only way around that is by using a router or proxy. The proxy solution however requires you to place 2 NIC's in one of your computers and run proxy software like Wingate, Sygate, WinProxy, etc.
