Losing signal every 60 sec. with Linksys WUSB11...

Here is the scenario:

I have been using a Linksys WUSB11 wireless adapter on a winME computer with 0 problems.
I install XP on the computer and download new drivers and firmware for the WUSB11 to work on XP.

Now, my signal drops every 60 seconds!! it's driving me insane and I can't figure out why it's happening.

My connection stays, I don't get dropped from the network, but for 1 second, I lose signal strength completely and this happens EVERY 60 seconds.

Downloads pause for 1 second, music stops playing for 1 second (if it's not hosted on this computer)...

Can someone help me out?

I have installed several wireless networks for clients of mine and I have never seen this type of problem. The only thing you did was install XP? Have you tried installing the adapter on another USB port (worth a try)? Also, post a message here: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/equip,16. This is the LinkSys forum at DSLreports.com. These guys have helped me tremendously with my various wireless networking problems.
