View Full Version : Counter-Strike Freeze up...

I didn't want to go to cs.net with my problems cause... i dislike them very much. Anyway, i used have an FIC mobo, i got rid of it for an Epox 8KHA+ (Win 2k) because CS would freeze every hour or so. Getting the new mobo helped a little bit, but lately it is getting worse, sometimes it will freeze right when i enter the server... the wierd thing is that this doesn't happen with Day Of Defeat at all, i play that game for hours and hours and it never freezes. I reinstalled Half-Life plenty of times and that didn't help. I reformatted and that didn't help... i'm lost. Anybody know what could be wrong? Thanks!

Is this the only game giving you this problem?

The ONLY game i have this with, it's not temp problems.... o yea, when CS freezes if i'm playing music in Winamp it still plays... so it's just Half-Life, and i can't get to task manager either.... and no, i'm not behind a router... :cry: Please help me!! I have clan matches and this will ruin me! Thanks!

Lol, too many custom weapon models.... i'm in line for that CS weapon pack now that just has all the high poly models in it...

Iam also having this prob in open gl. but not soft ware ummm try this it seem to fix the problem as long as i didnt start out with any hacks. Try uninstalling your video graphics drivers and reinstall them.I think for some reason maybe just to screw up the hackers they send out some thing to screw up are graphic drivers? just a thought if you would like to try it!;)
