i have searched and all i can find is a bunch of places that want me to pay for a yearly download pass

....you sure you found one for JK2? I don't think there is one yet. Especially since I havn't heard anything about it, and because its not on LucasArts' FTP (as all demos are).

2 was recently released -- as of a few days ago -- and I've yet to see a playable demo

Jedi Knight2: Dark Forces ( only comes with the COLLECTORS EDITION AND IT DOESNT WORK FOR WIN2K )
Jedi Knight2: Jedi Outcast <<<<< THIS IS THE VERSION YOU LL GET IF YOU BUY THE REGULAR PACKAGE


You may say WTF IS HE TALKING ABOUT well i work at CompUSA and i read the Box for the collectors edition and it says all that and i think its 64.99 or 69.99 dont remember

if you dont have win2k you ll fine with the collectors edition BUT if you do , you wont be able to play Dark Forces

the box for the collectors edition is different it s a metalic and a bit bigger than the regular box

The "deluxe" one has a different package and includes the two earlier games in the series. JK2 is still the EXACT same.

If you feel like catching up on the story and characters (as well as playing some old DOS & Win95 era games), then spring for the deluxe. If you just want the game on the front of the box (JK2), get the normal version.
