How much webspace does vbulletin take up? I don't mean the actuall vbulletin install files, but all the posts and stuff.

Gonna use SG as an example, the current thread count is 61,962 and post count 518,332

How much space (MB) does the forum use now? What about [H]?

I beleave Philup said he database took up several gigs, which is where ALL the posts and trheads are kept untill VB calls them to a webpage.

hmm... lets see

a board about this size:

Registered Members: 300
Total Threads: 1000
Total Posts: 3000

takes up about a 14 - 15 mb sql query file to backup (a plain text dump (backup) of the contents of a mysql database), but there are a few other extras that I have set to keep their info in this DB also so actual mileage may vary

also note that while the SG forum home page might say that number, it doesnt mean that there are actually that many posts/threads in the DB now, that number is the running total from the install date and doesnt reflect any deletions or pruning of posts/threads

We have a lot of them, but not all, some old posts are purged periodically.
