Hey everyone,

This is my very first post, so I'd like to say hello to everyone. You guys all seem really knowledgable and helpful, I'm glad to be here.

I was wondering if anyone is familiar with Sympatico denying access to mailservers outside their network? I just registered my own domain (ie. www.foobar.com) and want to send mail through my new mailserver (ie. mail.foobar.com), but Sympatico doesn't want to let me. Is there a way around this?

I know that I can use my Sympatico SMTP mailserver to send the outgoing messages from my new account, but that just seems so 'messy'.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for anything you can offer.

Regards,
-Chris

Which mail client are you using? If it's Outlook Express, try the "My server requires authentication".
