I called Comcast to get my modem provisioned(3rd time since transition) again. Everything went thru normal except..... he told me, he can see my router, two IP address, and i was like WTF??? On my router I have SPI, and block Wan Request enabled??? So my question is? How did/can he look behind my network like he did?
Linksys BEFSR41 1.42.4 firmware Mac address is being cloaned.
Motorola SB4100
Also, I've noticed this entry into my modem's log "Retrieved TFTP Config msb4100_v1_silver_c01 SUCCESS " what is it???
Let me ask you this...did at any point did you have the modem hooked direclty into the computer, and then disconnect it and hook it up into the router? If you did, more than likely what he is seeing are the two different IPs that your modem has pulled for the two different mac addresses (one for your computer nic, the other for the router)...you can also go to this address: http://192.168.100.1/address.html, look down at the bottom of the page, and you should see something like this: Known CPE MAC Address (Max 1)...if it shows more than 1 for the max # of mac addresses known, then there's a provisioning issue (providing you're only supposed to be billed for one IP...

Router is cloning mac address of the computer, Comcast registered.
