Can I allow my sister to dial into my computer from her's on a 56 K modem and access the internet through my cable connection?

I am running Windows 98 SE and am behind a Linksys Router. I am thinking of using the Dialup Server that comes with Win 98 but am not sure if it will work or how to configure my system if it does.

If anyone has done this, can you help me out with the instructions?

Thanks

Joe

You can on NT Server/2000 Server/SBS you have to run a Remote access proggy... NOT on 98 that I know of

Throw? Wow you sound like you can like do it in a split second.

I haven't heard of anyone doing that except for a server-like thingy, but thats what you're saying, right? OK anyways, I think NT could work because Windows 2000 is a more stable better version of NT.

Dont think so, in NT Server the program is RAS. Do you have NT Server 4.0? throw that in. Then she can dial in as long as you give her account the rights to do so.

If the workstaion is already up and running on a comp you could "throw" it in. Only takes like 5 minutes or so configure..

Also, your cable provider would probably object to it. You may want to give your AUP/TOS a go through.
