I have Comcrap or Concast at home also. I was a @home user and had great speed, but now I am capped at 1500. Still I don't have speeds as slow as yours.
I travel around the country and I use a Earthlink account. I chose them because at the time they had the most access numbers,, even overseas. I don't know where your location is, but I will bet there is a access number for earthlink where you are. Usually I get good speeds from them,, course everything seems slow going from cable to modem. Maybe it will seem faster for you..:D
