Domain Name

My friend is about to get a domain name, and we want to see if i can host it on my server...now the prob is..im not sure how to do all this..ive used Name zero before..but thats ONe thing....

Can someone walk me though the steps in setting up a Domain Name to Point to a server...

i know it invloves having your own DNS server..which i have..but what do i have to do within the DNS server to set it up correctly...

all help will be appreciated :)

Connection you will be hosting it off of?

well yeah....the second one will give you hta error...the person hasnt uploaded anythign yet..but the frist one works ok
