View Full Version : ZA setting changes after reboot
System OS XP home and Linksys cable/dsl router
I upgrade ZA pro to version 3
In Firwall tab my setting on my network as IP and sub-net #'s is "BLOCKED"
But evry time I reboot the pc my setting changes to "TRUSTED"
I'm missing something here ? If you are connect to cable isn't that setting should be "BLOCKED" ?
Thanks
MRB
Trusted is for your local zone, or network...your own computer. It should be "trusted" zone. If you upgraded, it is advised to remove zone alarm, remove the two files associated with it in Internet Logs. These files will be named "IAMDB.RDB" and another will have your computers name with the extension of .ldb for instance "mycomputername.ldb". You need to completely shut down Zone Alarm including the True Vector Internet, then do an uninstall from Add/Remove Programs, then delete the two files. Empty your trash can and reboot. Re-install a full install of Zone Alarm, not an upgrade.
Thank's Mike_W for your responce.
On this case every time I reboot pc it see's the network must be a default setting is that why changes automatic to "trusted" ?
Yes I upgrade the instalation, but You lost me here why should I remove those files? security reasons?the only problem if is a problem, as I ask before was that setting always defaulting to "trusted".
Thanks Mike_W for your input.
